Today started out good. I slept until 6:30 and Maria and I got up we had a little bit of mommy and me time. Then Donnie got up and made us breakfast and as always it was wonderful. I always appreciate Donnie cooking for us (which he does most of since I am not home when he wants to eat) and Sunday breakfast is always a treat. After breakfast we watched some Holmes on Homes (love that guy!) and really enjoyed our morning together.
I worked on finishing the pick up of all of our new Buy Buy Baby purchases from Friday. David had asked and decided to stay at his best friend Adrian's house yesterday and we let him. Maria had started to get a little bit fussy by 3:00 and really wanted to be held a lot while I didn't mind the snuggling I didn't get any cleaning done. I did however get a load of laundry started and so that made me feel little bit better. By about 5:00 Maria was starting to get really fussy and we thought it might be a rough night we weren't sure. Sure enough her acid reflux seemed to just kick in and she was giving us her discomfort cry. She hadn't seemed to be in a lot of pain which always drives me crazy when I can't fix it. I hate to see my baby in pain. As I sit here and write this I'm really hoping I'm not sleeping in the chair tonight with her.
I will say through all of her fussiness today we have found a new breast feeding hold which seems to help a bunch. Instead of doing a football hold or cradle hold she sits nearly upright with her legs facing my back this seems to feed make her feel a lot better Maria is definitely more fussy then David ever was and she also seems to have more problems than he ever did. I think all of this is related to her being a little premature. I hope I can get this finished and posted tonight if I can't I will post it tomorrow. I am just hoping I'm not up all night long and I get a little sleep since tomorrow I go back to work after a somewhat relaxing weekend.
